Deepening European Localization! Our Company Completes Charging Protocol Testing for Multi-Brand Chargers and Vehicles, Breaking Barriers to Outdoor Energy Replenishment

Oct.24.2025
To ensure seamless energy replenishment for our mobile energy storage products in the European market, our company recently conducted a dedicated charging protocol testing project locally in Europe. This initiative focused on comprehensive compatibility testing between mainstream local charger brands and automotive charging protocols, successfully resolving adaptation challenges between different devices and laying a critical foundation for the deployment of our products in European outdoor energy replenishment scenarios.
The European charger market features a wide range of brands with varying protocol standards, while local automotive brands (such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, and Volvo) also have distinct charging protocol specifications. Incompatible protocols can directly lead to issues like "slow charging despite connection" and "frequent disconnections after pairing." In response, we established a local technical team and set up temporary testing sites in Germany and France, covering mainstream equipment in the European market:
On the charger side, 12 well-known brands including ChargePoint, EVBox, and Wallbox were included, encompassing both AC slow charging and DC fast charging types;On the vehicle side, we collaborated with local automakers and rental platforms to assemble over 20 mainstream vehicle models, covering both pure electric and plug-in hybrid categories.During the testing process, our technical team focused on verifying three core dimensions:
Protocol Handshake Stability: By repeatedly simulating different voltage and current environments, we ensured a 100% success rate for initial connections between our energy storage products, chargers, and vehicles;
Charging Efficiency Compatibility: For scenarios where the same vehicle was paired with different chargers, we tested charging power curves to ensure that the charging efficiency of our energy storage products deviated by no more than 5% from that of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) chargers;

Fault Response Adaptability: We simulated emergency situations such as charger overload and vehicle battery protection to verify the ability of the three-party equipment (energy storage product, charger, vehicle) to transmit fault signals and implement coordinated protection, eliminating safety risks caused by protocol differences.

After one month of testing and optimization, the team finally developed a "European Market Charging Protocol Compatibility Database" and created custom adaptation modules for 3 specific protocol difference scenarios. This achievement enabled seamless three-way connectivity between "our energy storage product – any tested charger – any tested vehicle."

This local testing not only ensures that our mobile energy storage products comply with key European standards such as EN 61851 and IEC 62196 but also enables precise alignment with local users’ actual usage habits. It provides crucial technical support for the subsequent promotion of our products in European scenarios including construction, mining, and emergency rescue, helping to upgrade outdoor energy replenishment in Europe to be "more flexible and reliable."
